Officials bring what appears to be evidence from a home in Ogden, Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, following a shooting involving six Ogden police officers on Wednesday.
Ravell Call, Deseret News
The recent police incidence in Ogden has been an awful reminder to us of what our law enforcement officers risk for us. Many of the heroic duties they perform on a daily basis are never mentioned publicly. I have a son who is an officer, so I know what their salaries are for putting their lives on the line for us. All the talk about appreciation is nice, but it would show a lot more appreciation if we all would check our tax returns to increase their wages.
