Marion J Talbot1917 ~ 2012Marion J Talbot passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 29, 2012.He was born in Panguitch, Utah, October 18, 1917 to John M and Olive Pearl Myers Talbot. Marion was deeply loved and respected by all who knew him. He was one of the most honest, intelligent, self-taught men you would ever meet. One of his wishes was to be able to go fishing one last time. Marion was a Master Sargent in the Marine Tank Corps during WWII. He truly loved his family and his country. He was a student of the US Constitution and The Federalist Papers for 50 years.He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Norma Dickinson Talbot; 3 sons, Marion Lynn, Gregory J and Woodrow Bryce; daughter, Chauna Pearl Pierce; 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; younger sister, Sara Bean of Provo. Preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers; 1 sister.We wish to commend the George E. Wahlen Veteran's Administration Medical Center and the home-based care team in Salt Lake City for the excellent care he received, especially the doctors and nurses, over the last six years. We firmly believe the VA honored it's promises to our Marine.Graveside services will be held at a later date to be determined upon his wife's recovery from health issues and ability to attend.
