Breaking BYU, University of Utah, and Utah State 2012 national signing day coverage

Note: This is a working list of known high school football verbal commits to BYU.

Matt Hadley, Connell High School, Connell, Wash.; 5-11, 200, safety; The younger brother of current BYU linebacker Spencer Hadley. He played a lot of positions in high school, but will play safety while at BYU.

Rhett Sandlin, Alta High School, Sandy; 6-3, 225, LB; Sandlin played mostly at safety until his senior season when he switched to middle linebacker. He will play linebacker while at BYU.

Josh Weeks, Show Low High School, Show Low, Ariz.; 6-4, 200, WR; Weeks has been named as a first-team all-state performer in each of his three years starting at wide receiver.

Tanner Mangum, Eagle High School, Eagle, Idaho; 6-3, 190, QB; Mangum was named as a co-MVP at the prestigious elite 11 quarterback camp this past summer. He's rated as a four-star prospect by both Rivals and Scout.com

Dylan Collie, Oak Ridge High School, El Dorado Hills, Calif.; 5-10, 190, WR; Collie is the younger brother of Austin and Zach Collie. He helped lead his team to the state playoffs his senior year, leading the team in receiving.

Phillip Amone, Dr. Phillips High School, Orlando, Fla.; 6-0, 220, LB; Amone received a lot of late interest following his commitment to BYU from SEC and Big-Ten programs. He'll serve an LDS mission before enrolling at BYU.

Austin Hoyt, Argonaut High School, Jackson, Calif.; 6-7, 265, OL; Hoyt played primarily at tight end while in high school, but will play offensive tackle while at BYU.

Steven Richards, Alta High School; 6-2, 240, DE; Richards played at tight end in high school, but will switch to play defensive end while at BYU.

Micah Hannemann, Lone Peak High School, Alpine; 6-1, 185, DB; Hannemann played both sides of the ball for state champion Lone Peak, but will play at either safety or at cornerback for BYU.

Butch Pau'u, Servite High School, Anaheim, Calif.; 5-11, 225, LB; Pau'u held multiple Pac-12 offers at the time of his commitment and is generally regarded as one of the top linebacker prospects out of California for 2012.

Jherremya Leuta-Douyere, Servite High School, Anaheim, Calif.; 6-0, 230, LB/DE; Leuta-Douyere played at linebacker, defensive end and at offensive guard for Servite during his senior year. He'll most-likely play defensive end while at BYU.

Jamaal Williams, Summit High School, Fontana, Calif.; 6-2, 190, RB; Williams was offered by such schools as Boise State and Utah, but chose BYU where he'll be looked at to contribute immediately at the running back position.

Troy Hinds, Davis High School, Kaysville; 6-5, 225, OLB; Hinds was rated the top recruit in-state for 2012 according to most services. He held 18 offers at the time of his commitment to BYU.

Sawyer Powell, Richland High School, Richland, Wash.; 6-2, 205, OLB; Powell is a bit raw as a football player, but showed a lot of upside with his overall athleticism, which earned him a high SPARQ rating. He held an offer from Oregon State at the time of his commitment.

Marques Johnson, El Camino junior college, Torrance, Calif.; 6-2, 305, DT; Johnson has already enrolled at BYU where he'll be looked on to provide immediate depth along the defensive front during his two years in Provo.
