Auditions being held for Kieth Merrill-directed film

Young dancers, singers and other performers have a chance to audition for a film being directed by Oscar winner Kieth Merrill.

On Broadway Academy is seeking up to 120 male and female dancers (including swing, tap and pointe), singers, children's choir singers, tumblers and/or musicians ages 3-18 to audition for a sequel to Merrill's "The 12 Dogs of Christmas." Open call auditions will be held at the Utah Conservatory of Performing Arts (COPA) building, 555 E. Main Street, American Fork, on Saturday, Jan. 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Merrill, director of "Legacy" and "Great American Cowboy," will be filming in Salt Lake City in late February and March, with the film produced by Emmy nominee Ken Kragen.
