NEW ORLEANS — A 32-year-old Alabama man has been arrested in connection with a video appearing to show an unconscious LSU fan being abused by someone in an Alabama jacket after Alabama beat LSU for the BCS football championship.

New Orleans police say Brian Downing of Smiths Station, Ala., was booked late Wednesday on allegations of sexual battery and obscenity for allegedly putting his genitals on the face of an LSU fan who appeared to be drunk "and practically unconscious."
