Douglas Todd Smith We Love You ToddIn an instant, we lost our remarkable brother and our friend: Todd Smith. Todd was born on September 13, 1961 and passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 7, 2011. He was the youngest child of Boyd & Joanne Smith, both of whom preceded him in death. Growing up in Salt Lake City, and for a short time in Price Utah, he graduated from East High School. At the time of his passing he was employed at Wal-Mart and had many treasured friends there.Throughout his life Todd had a positive impact on most everyone he encountered. Always caring and wanting to help others, his personality was one of warmth and compassion. He enjoyed politics, listening to good music and his work. Todd also loved watching the Utah Jazz & the Denver Broncos, telling a good joke, traveling the world and spending most mornings with his brother Cory and the rest of their coffee cronies. We will all miss Todd and are forever grateful that he shared his wonderful journey with us.He is survived by his siblings: Deborah Platt, Frank (Connie) Platt, Brad Smith, Cory (Pam) Smith and his nieces and nephews: Ryan Hatch, Jessica (Todd) Wahl, Spenser (Tara) Hatch, Ashley Platt, Zach Smith and Madison Smith.A memorial service will be held for Todd on Saturday, December 17 at 11am at the Garden Heights Ward, 2220 E Fisher Lane, where friends and family can visit from 10am to 11am, prior to the service.
