Claudia Alicia Lamping Davenport1961 ~ 2011Claudia Alicia Lamping Davenport passed away peacefully on Friday, December 9, 2011 after a brave battle with ovarian cancer. Her bright presence will be sorely missed on earth, but joyously welcomed in Heaven. Allie was born April 21, 1961 in Fort Walton Beach, FL to William James and Irene Sylvester Lamping, the seventh of ten children. Her family settled in Sandy, Utah and Allie later went on to attend Utah State University. In 1985 she married Jon Davenport; they divorced in 2006 after 21 years of marriage. Allie had unbounded love for people. Her engaging presence and playful sense of humor allowed her to connect readily with people in her life's travels across the country. She was passionate about people knowing that they matter to her and was an amazing listener. She was also passionate about creating artistic jewelry and hair accessories. She had a small business to sell her creations and made many friends through those efforts as well. Allie was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings throughout her life. Allie is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Christina. She is survived by her daughter, Lexie, her dog, Pepper, siblings Carolyne White, Bill (Bradi), Cindy Evans, Cherri (Bill) Hind, Corri (Dave) Burton, Dave (Wendy), Kitty (Steve) Smith and John (Jill) and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to thank the amazing staff at Utah Hospice Specialists for their loving care of our mother, sister and friend. Also, a special thanks to the Jordan High Madrigals for bringing a wonderful spirit with them as they sang to Allie during her final hours.
