Class 2A MVP
Aaron Austad, Manti, DL, 6-1, 235, Sr.
Dominated both sides of the line for the state champs. As a defensive end he finished with a team-high 84 tackles and six sacks. Offensively, he was probably the team's best lineman, but an injury necessitated him playing blocking tight end, and he still dominated.

First off congrats to all boys who suited up and gave it your all this season. Secondly congratulations to all of you who made the All-State team.
Congratulations to all the all-state players. Thanks for a great season. I'm glad to see they gave the MVP to a Manti lineman. I feel that their line was the major reason they won the title. It wasn't the size of their school, it was the size of More..
I am a little surprised that South Summit only nominated a lineman that played 1/2 of the season. There were 10-15 others that had a major impact that werent even nominated.
