Jolean Dalton Casperson1927 ~ 2011Jolean peacefully left this earth on November 30, 2011 to join her husband Reese and her son Terry. She was born in Hurricane, Utah on November 21, 1927 to Harvey and Margaret Dalton. She was the sixth of seven siblings, four sisters and two brothers. While her body had been weak and feeble for many years, her mind was active and sharp, joking and visiting with all those who came to see her. The family is very appreciative to all those family and friends who came to visit her, almost on a daily basis. Reese and Jolean met in Logan, Utah while attending Utah State University and were married on November 26, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were the proud parents of three girls and six boys who she often referred to as "three and a half dozen kids". It is often said that you can judge the character of a person by their children, but a better measure is their grandchildren. Anyone who ever knew any of her children or grandchildren would have been impressed with the marvelous job Jolean did in raising her posterity. While there will be an empty spot and loneliness in our hearts, there will always be fond memories of her kindness, patience, and diligence in our souls. She was active in the LDS Church serving in many callings including Relief Society President, Primary President, and teacher. Survived by her children: Ed and Kim, Karen Christensen, John and Wendy, Joe and Lori, Renee Casperson, Adelia and Jim Marsh, Les and Angie, and Paul and Tanya: 26 grandchildren: 31 great grandchildren: and her sister Mae McArthur. Preceded in death by husband Reese, and son Terry. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 3 at the Fox Hills Ward, 3750 W. 6200 S., Taylorsville, Utah, at 1:00 p.m. A viewing will be held at the same location from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment will follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 E. 10600 S.
