Myrtle Steadman Wright1924 ~ 2011Myrtle Steadman Wright was released of her pain and returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on November 27, 2011. Myrtle was born January 21, 1924 to James and LaVonne Steadman in Murray, Utah. Myrtle married the love of her life, Charles Wright, on September 18, 1942. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 21, 1962. They were married 69 years.Family was the most important thing to her. She loved getting together on holidays and going camping together. The family always asked for her homemade cookies. She enjoyed scrapbooking, doing histories and her genealogy. She loved to travel and went many places with Charles. Myrtle was a lifelong member of the LDS Church. She served in many positions, her favorite being the Relief Society. Other organizations she was involved with were the American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the Pioneers, Sundowners Good Sam Club, Friendly Campers, 4-H leader and Scout leader. She also supported Charles in his many activities.Myrtle is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Charles Wright, Sandy; children, Charlene Price, Kearns; Allen (Phyllis) Wright, West Jordan; Diane (Lon) Elwood, West Valley; grandchildren, David (Debbie) Price, Ohio; Danny (Jodi) Price, West Jordan; Doug Price, Kearns; Debbie (Tracy) Larsen, Connecticut; Scott (Adrienne) Wright, West Jordan; Brandon (Glafira) Wright, West Jordan; Kimberly (Brian) Fletcher, Vernal; Shelley (Ryan) Oliverson, West Jordan; Tina Elwood, West Valley; Kristie Elwood, West Valley; Jared (Tawnya) Elwood, Taylorsville; Aaron (Becky) Elwood, Tooele; 36 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, LaDell (Shelba) Steadman, West Jordan; Dale Steadman, West Jordan; sister, Shirley (Tom) White, Midvale; sisters-in-law, Florence Steadman, Sandy; Robin Diamond, West Jordan; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, James and LaVonne Steadman; son, Dean Wright; brothers, Jay Steadman, Steven Reading; and sister-in-law, Irene Steadman. Special thanks to Tammy Dahlkamt.Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mount Jordan 3rd Ward, 8950 South 400 East, Sandy.
