Obituary: ROBINSON, LOREN BAKER

Loren Baker Robinson1923 ~ 2011Our devoted and beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Loren B. Robinson, died November 19, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah. One of ten children, he was born October 23, 1923, in Oakley, Idaho, to Loren J. and Rosetta B. Robinson.During World War II, Loren proudly served in the Naval Air Force. Following his honorable discharge, he began a successful career in the Western Apparel business where he received many sales awards, served in leadership positions, and earned the respect of his many customers and colleagues.On November 26, 1974 Loren married his beloved wife, Elayne Record Crockett, in the Salt Lake Temple joining together two wonderful families.Loren was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served in many capacities. He was a true disciple of Jesus Christ always willing to go the extra mile in serving his Heavenly Father and his fellow-man. He was known for his integrity and selfless service. Truly a man without guile.He is survived by his wife, Elayne; children, Lynda Cook (Stephen), Cheryl Davies (Mike), Craig Crockett (Jan); nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Merrill and George, sisters Arva and Maureen.Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26, at 1:00 p.m. in the Forestview Ward, 1111 East Charlton Avenue (2815 South). A visitation for friends and family will be held prior to the funeral from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.The family wishes to acknowledge the extraordinary care provided by Dr. Pingree and the CCU staff at St. Marks Hospital.
