I think it's time the American people vote some of these politicians out of office and cut their severance package as part of the budget cuts and send them back into the private sector to earn a living!!!
Go ahead and cut defense. The original cuts were not deep enough there anyway. And no, countries will not suddenly try to invade the USA, despite fear mongering from the dogs of war.
The failure of this committee to do its job must be remembered at the voting booth next fall. This failure must not be clouded, in the meantime, by likely unsuccessful attempts/excuses to stop the automatic cuts or to otherwise soften the face of More..
