DelIda Vest Chatelain1930 ~ 2011With grateful hearts for her life the family of DelIda Vest Chatelain announce her passing.She passed peacefully Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Heritage Park in Roy, Utah.DelIda was born December 5, 1930 in Farmington, Utah to Clifford Hyrum Vest and Milda Mae Hess. She married Conard LeVere Chatelain of North Ogden July 29, 1950 in Evanston, Wyoming. Their marriage was solemnized Dec. 1, 1990 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Her life was devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as a Visiting Teacher, Primary teacher, Young Women's teacher and president, and Librarian.She enjoyed her association with the Sigma Beta Phi Sorority. She was an avid bowler. She enjoyed sewing, ceramics, and her organ. She worked for Juliet's, Dillard, and Christopher and Banks.Her greatest joy was to be able to travel with her children and grandchildren. She loved Christmas and made it a magical experience for her family.She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Conard LeVere Chatelain; daughters, Ilene (Allan) Graves of Centerville, Donna (Dan) Woodland of Huntsville and son, Curtis LeVere (Sharon Wood) Chatelain of Clinton; 14 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-granddaughter; her brother, Arthur Dee (Donna Harper) Vest and aunt, Ada Emily Vest Taylor (97 years old). Preceded in death by her beloved parents, Clifford Hyrum and Milda Mae Hess Vest.Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2011 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held Sunday, November 20th at Myers from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30.
