NEW YORK — Rex Ryan is still stunned by the New York Jets' "huge, huge loss" to Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos, and says the playoffs "start right now" for his team.
After the Jets (5-5) allowed Tebow to run for the winning score in the final minute of a 17-13 loss Thursday night, Ryan says Friday that New York is out of "breathing room" and must beat Buffalo next Sunday to keep its playoff hopes alive.
He acknowledged the team's many mistakes in its second loss in five days, but remains confident the Jets are "going to be in this thing." Ryan also defends the struggling Mark Sanchez, who he says is "going to be our quarterback as long as I'm here, which I hope is a long, long time."

What point is keeping playoff hopes alive if the best that could be hoped for is a one and out type situation? It would be best to just get better than they currently are. There is more to life than just making the playoffs. Eye the ultimate prize or More..
