Obituary: HOLMAN, LEATRICE BELL

Leatrice Bell Holman1925 ~ 2011Leatrice Bell Holman, age 86, of Orem, passed away November 9, 2011 at Courtyard at Jamestown in Provo, Utah. She was born June 28, 1925 in Logan, Utah, a daughter of Alfred Mervill and Jane Roberts Bell. She earned her Bachelor Degree from Weber State University. She married Dean S. Holman on August 1, 1946 in the Logan LDS Temple. Lee was an English teacher at Kaysville Jr. High School. As an Air Force wife she moved her family often and to several states and countries, yet always maintained a stable comfortable home. Lee was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served faithfully as Ward and Stake Relief Society President seven times, Primary President, and as a Relief Society Teacher as well as many other callings. She always welcomed others into her home. Family, friends, foster children, foreign exchange students, unwed mothers, and anyone else in need. Her children often called the house "The Holman Hotel". The family expresses appreciation to CNS Hospice and Lois Sutherland, the hospice nurse, who cared for her and loved her. She is survived by her children Thomas (Linda) Holman, Jane Holman, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren with another on the way, as well as her daughter-in-law Marlena Holman and her brothers Ted (Sue) Bell and Dan (Marty) Bell. She was preceded in death by her husband Dean and their son Scott Holman. Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Logan City Cemetery in Logan, Utah.
