Brad Merritt apparently feels that breaking the law by speeding down the HOV lane or "a passing lane" is the right thing to do ("HOV lane is for passing," Readers' Forum, Nov. 1). A 65 mph speed limit is a 65 mph speed limit. 66 mph is breaking the law. Why is he advocating breaking the law?

If you are breaking the law by speeding, please consider slowing down. With the snow and ice we have headed for our roads you might find that slowing down may save your life, or that of another. Just a thought, consider it, thank's.
It seems pretty clear to me. The HOV is NOT a passing lane. If you want to pass a slower vehicle traveling in the HOV lane YOU must change to the left passing lane. After all, aren't all of you speeders telling people to stay out of the left More..
