The three-time defending Class 3A champs are in the quarterfinals for the eleventh straight year, but the quarterfinals were first-round games the first four of those years. The Soaring Eagle are trying for their fourth consecutive semifinal. Of note, Juan Diego has shutout five opponents this year, a school record.
SF's last quarterfinal: 2010, lost at Bountiful. The Dons have appeared in the quarterfinals the last two years as a 4A team, but haven't advanced to the semifinals since 1995.

Delta (10-1) vs. Cedar (5-5)
Series history: Delta leads 22-15-1.
Last meeting: Cedar, 26-3 on Sept. 14, 2007 at home.
Coach vs. Coach: Delta's Russ Henrie is 3-1 vs. Cedar's Todd Peacock.
Current winning streaks: Delta 10, Cedar 3.
Delta's last quarterfinal: 2010, defeated Desert Hills at home before losing to Hurricane in the semis. The Rabbits are in the quarterfinals for the seventh straight season but have advanced to the semifinals just twice in the previous six. It's also their 20th QF in 23 years.
Cedar's last quarterfinal: 2009, lost at Juan Diego. The Redmen last qualified for the semifinals in 2004. This year marks Cedar's 16th quarterfinal game in 20 seasons.
Delta's home playoff record: 31-8.
Stansbury (9-1) vs. Desert Hills (7-3)

Current winning streaks: Stansbury 7, Desert Hills 1.
Stansbury's first quarterfinal. The Stallions have jumped from 1-8 their first year and 2-8 last season to 9-1 this year, a seven-game improvement over 2010.
Desert Hills's last (only) quarterfinal: 2010, lost at Delta. The Thunder has matched its most season wins, set last year.
Stansbury's home playoff record: 1-0.
2A Semifinals (only Manti is new to the semifinals this year, replacing South Sevier)
Manti (9-1) vs. South Summit (8-3)
Series history: Manti 15-7; they met at least annually from 1989-2008 including the 1999 Class 2A final, when the Templars won their first of two state championships.
Last meeting: Manti, 30-12 on Sept. 23 (Week 6) at home.
Coach vs. Coach: Manti's Cole Meacham is 3-2 vs. South Summit's Jerry Parker.
Coaching records: Meacham is 87-41 in his 12th year and Parker is 63-44 in 10 seasons (1992-94 and 2005-11).
Current winning streaks: Manti 8, South Summit 5.
Manti's last semifinal: 2008, beat San Juan, then lost to North Summit on a last second field goal in the 2A championship. The Templars were just 5-6 last season.
South Summit's last semifinal: 2010, defeated Millard before falling to San Juan in the 2A title game. A Wildcat victory would send them to the finals for the third straight year.
San Juan (10-0) vs. Millard (8-2)
Series history: Millard 18-4, but they've split their last six meetings, from 2004-2008. They clashed for the 2006 Class 2A championship, which the Eagles won.
Last meeting: San Juan, 33-14 on Sept. 26, 2008 at Millard.
