ANTIMONY — A pair of small earthquakes have given an area in southern Utah a light jolt.

The U.S. Geological Survey says a 3.4 magnitude temblor that hit early Wednesday near Antimony was followed by a 3.0 magnitude quake in the same area.

The first and larger of the two quakes was centered 17 miles south-southwest of Antimony and struck at 12:31 a.m. Wednesday. The second was 16 miles south-southwest of Antimony and recorded at 1:05 a.m.

The USGS website shows several people reported feeling the 3.4 magnitude quake.
