Sophomore midfielder Kendra Pemberton and sophomore forward Mari Miyashiro were both unavailable for the match against the Cowgirls. With the loss, Utah State falls to 8-2-0 this season. The Cowgirls improved to 11-0-0.
The University of Utah women's soccer team (4-4-1) completed a home weekend sweep with Sunday's 3-1 victory over Idaho State (3-5-1) to wrap up non-conference play and take a two-match win streak into next weekend's Pac-12 opener. The game-winning goal came off the foot of sophomore midfielder Leslie Muirhead.
Sophomore forward Felicia Sortor scored twice as the Weber State University women's soccer team had a breakout day, rolling to a 3-0 result against New Mexico State at Wildcat Soccer Field on Sunday. Sortor's brace was the first of her two-year career for the Purple and White and her first two goals of the season.

The Wolverines trailed 2-0 before Natalie Young scored UVU's lone goal at the 71:05 mark on a penalty kick. For Young, it was her second goal of the year.
