Summary

PROVO — In two games this season, BYU has scored two offensive touchdowns. The Cougars are ranked No. 107 nationally in scoring offense, No. 108 in total offense, and No. 113 in rushing offense. They have suffered from a glaring lack of playmakers, an inability to finish drives, and general inconsistency.

Doman and Heaps were not made available this week to the local media for interviews. However, Heaps did tell ESPN.com: "Offensively, we're not happy with the amount of points we've put up on the board. We feel we could put up more and we should put up more. The way we're driving the football, the way we're able to move the football, we're happy about that.

"Now it's a matter of one or two plays we didn't execute that cost us putting seven points on the board. We're so close to just exploding. We're so close to having this offense rise to what everybody thinks this offense should be and what our team believes this offense could be."

Don't worry BYU fans! After USU beats BYU Coach Mendenhall can fire Coach Doman and take over the play calling too. Things will get then get better. You can credit the USU pounding for turning your season around - again.
