LAS VEGAS — Salt Lake scored four runs in the first inning and never looked back, as the Bees rolled to a 10-3 win over the Las Vegas 51s on Sunday night.
Salt Lake had runners at first and second with one out when Jeff Baisley singled in the first run of the game. Freddy Sandoval followed with an RBI single to make 2-0 before the next two runs came home on a passed ball and a run scoring ground out by Rian Kiniry.
Matt Palmer (9-11) threw a season high 129 pitches en route to the victory. He pitched six and two-third innings and allowed just two runs, one earned, on four hits with seven strikeouts and five walks.
Sandoval led the Bees with four hits and one run batted in, while Paul McAnulty belted a pair of solo home runs. Kiniry added two hits.
