"I'm just grateful to be here," Fakahafua said. "It's a privilege to be with these guys."

Utah camp report

DAY 6 (PRACTICE NO. 1): The Utes practiced in full pads Wednesday morning at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

STANDOUTS: Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said running back John White performed well and may have taken a slight lead in the three-way battle with Harvey Langi and Thretton Palamo. The defensive tackles were credited for being physical in short-yardage drills.

INJURIES: Offensive lineman Sam Brenner will be sidelined for a couple of weeks with an elbow injury. Offensive lineman Isaac Asiata is out with a high ankle sprain.

DAY 6 (PRACTICE NO. 2): The Utes concluded the day with a late afternoon session in helmets and shorts at Ute Field.

STANDOUTS: Whittingham said the players handled the first two-a-day well with the exception of the two-minute drill.

INJURIES: Offensive lineman Latu Heimuli will need surgery after tearing ligaments in his thumb.

NEXT UP: The Utes will hold a closed scrimmage this morning at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
