Jann Anderson Lewis, 84, passed away peacefully Aug. 6, 2011, in the loving presence of her children. Born Sept. 23, 1926, to Myrtle Ione Johnson and Reuben Carl Anderson, in Richmond, Utah. Married Arthur Dale Lewis of Smithfield, Utah, Nov. 15, 1946. Arthur and Jann made their home in Salt Lake City, Utah, where they raised three children. The family was sealed together for time and all eternity in the Logan Temple Feb. 18, 1963. Jann was a homemaker and held many positions in the LDS church. She also worked outside the home, including ZCMI, Auerbachs and Westminster College. Jann had a sweet, gentle disposition. She took pride in a beautiful appearance and well-kept home. She especially loved music and dancing. Her collection of country music will be cherished by her children in memory of her spirit. Survived by her children Karen (Chad) Milne, Steven Dale (Kimberlee) Lewis, Sandra Lewis; grandson Matthew Steven Lewis; sisters Betty Fordham and Lana Anderson; brother, Max Anderson. Preceded in death by her parents; sisters Gaye Larson and Margene Lambert; and husband Arthur Dale Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her close friend and companion, Ralph Lindorff. The family wishes to thank the staff of Canyon Creek Senior Living and Access Hospice Care who loved and cared for Jann. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, 11 a.m., at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street, where a viewing will be held Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and also one hour prior to services. Interment at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South.
