Knola Weight Christensen 1915 ~ 2011

A Wife, Mother and Grandmother, Knola Weight Christensen, passed away of natural causes August 2, 2011 on her 96th birthday.She was born in St. Anthony, Idaho, the eldest child of four. She was born to Leon M and Ferol Roylance Weight. She married Heber F. Christensen in the Salt Lake Temple on June 23, 1941. At age seven she attended the Ogden School for the Deaf to gain an education. A deaf mother of three children presented challenges which she overcame with courage and integrity. She had a contagious laugh and a love for all. She was an excellent cook and sold handicraft items to assist with family finances. She was a devoted member of the LDS church and attended the deaf ward up to the time of her death. Knola is survived by: her daughter, Ferol and brother, Ted. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and one soon to be great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by: husband, Heber; son, Daryl; daughter, JoAnn; sister, Shirley Roper and Brother, Keith Weight. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 4, 2011, 12:00 p.m. at the Salt Lake Valley 2nd Ward, 6250 South 2200 West. A viewing will be held two hours prior.
