I think the biggest sticking point is about the hard cap. Players don't want their contracts limited (they want a "sky's the limit" future), and owners want a level playing field (at least the majority of the teams).

Let the NBA players go oversees and let the NBA owners hire the players from oversees. Then the NBA will have players that really want to play and are willing to do what it takes. I would rather watch a less talented player with heart than a greedy More..
I really don't understand all the hatred towards NBA players. The last time I checked nobody forced the owners to over pay them.
