Jane Nelson Stanworth, 67, passed away July 4, 2011. Born March 7, 1944 in Provo, to Jack and Phyllis Perry Nelson. Married Michael Arthur Stanworth on June 18, 1966 in Delta, UT. Marriage later solemnized in Provo LDS Temple. Jane graduated Delta High School where she served as Student Body Secretary, and won the Danforth Award. Received leadership scholarship to BYU. Attended one year at BYU and three years at Utah State College in Logan. Graduated with major in Elementary Education and Child Development and minor in Psychology. Taught in Davis and Millard County School Districts -1st grade, Headstart and Preschool. In 1983, received Special Education degree from BYU; after which, taught Special Education in Delta North and South Elementaries and Delta Middle School. Enjoyed association with students and faculties. Always had a love for children. Retired from teaching to help husband with secretarial work for their businesses: Big 5 Commodities, Mike Stanworth & Sons Trucking, Stanworth Farms, and Bulldog Construction. Member of LDS Church. An accomplished musician, played piano, accordion, and organ. Taught piano and accordion lessons during different times of her life; and performed in many programs. Jane will be greatly missed by her husband: Michael Stanworth; children: Shane Stanworth; Michelle (Bob) Rogers; T.J. (Christina) Stanworth; grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kailey, Kason, Paige, and Meghan Stanworth; and Michael Jack Rodgers. Funeral: Friday July 8, 11 a.m., at Deseret-Oasis LDS Church. Viewing: Thursday evening, 7-8 p.m., Nickle Mortuary, Delta; and Friday morning at church, 9:30-10:40 a.m. Burial Oasis Cemetery.
