Every quilt tells a story. So, what's the greatest quilt you've ever read?

Quilters and others who participate in this year's Wasatch Front Shop Hop can ponder that question, as they visit shops and see quilts centered around works of literature. Among them are books such as "Anne of Green Gables," "The Great Gatsby," "Twilight," "Fablehaven," "Murder on the Orient Express," "Wizard of Oz," and "Where the Wild Things Are."

Fifteen shops are participating, each with a different theme, stretching from Brigham City to Tooele to the Salt Lake Valley to Springville. Participants who visit all 15 shops, and get their "library card" stamped, will receive a free charm pack of "Cherry Fizz" fabrics from Henry Glass & Co., and will become eligible to win a variety of prizes ranging from sewing machines to shopping sprees. Each shop will also be having an in-house drawing for prizes.

"The Greatest Quilt I Ever Read" Shop Hop takes place Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Participating shops are: American Quilting, Orem; Broadbent's Quilt Shop, Lehi; Corn Wagon Quilt Co., Springville; Elaine's Quilt Block, Cottonwood Heights; Material Girls Quilts, South Jordan; Mormon Handicraft, Fort Union; Pine Needles, West Jordan; Piper's Quilts & Comforts, Sugarhouse; Quilter's Haven, Bountiful; Quilts, Etc., Sandy; Sew Sweet, Tooele; Stitching Corner, Orem; Thimbles and Threads, Draper; Village Dry Goods, Brigham City; Whimsy Cottage, Holladay.

For maps and directions, visit www.utahshophop.com or pick up a flier at any of the shops.
