Most of her childhood was spent in Ogden and Logan, Utah. She graduated from Utah State University in Logan, and it was there that she met her sweetheart, Howard (Bud) C. Boulton. Flo and Bud served an LDS mission to Ireland and then served as LDS Chaplains at Philmont National Scout Ranch in New Mexico for five years. She held many positions of leadership in the LDS Church and loved the gospel. Bud passed away in January of 1991 in Salt Lake City, and shortly after she moved to St. George, Utah. where she continued to substitute teach. She will always be remembered for her limitless energy and her desire to be helpful and serve others. Up to her dying day, Grandma Flo would always ask everyone what she could do for them today. She was a volunteer for the Huntsman World Senior Games for years and her sewing skills can still be seen annually as she made most of the beautiful flags used for the Opening Ceremonies. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud, and two sisters, Rae Ostler and Arlene Ficklin.
