Linda Kay Cowling Frewin "MOM"
Born Nov. 03, 1946 to David E. and L. Pauline Cowling in Salt Lake City, UT. Linda Kay passed away at home on Sat. May 28, 2011, due to complications of a brain tumor. She married her sweetheart, Warren A. Frewin in July 1968 and later solemnized marriage in the Salt Lake Temple. Linda was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings over the years Linda loved the Boy Scouting program, giving many years of service to the youth and adults. She was known as "MOM" to most all of her fellow Scouters. She was also very well known for wearing her pink shoulder epaulets, pink Activity Patches and Pink CSP. She is survived by her husband Warren A. two sons, Shawn (Candice) and Christopher (Camille); Three grandsons, Michael, Zachary and Spencer; Her brother David (Lynda Jean) Cowling; father-in-law Warren H. Frewin, brother-in-laws Martin and Wayne (Melinda); A nephew and seven nieces. She is preceded in death by her mother, father and mother-in-law, Della R. Frewin. Services will be held at Mt. Jordan 7th ward, 235 E. Sego Lily Dr. (9800 South), Sandy, UT. on Monday, June 6th 2011. There will be a viewing prior to the services from 10:00am to 11:00am, with a service beginning at 11:00am to 12:00pm. Following the services, interment will be at Mountain View Memorial, 3115 E. 7800 S., Cottonwood Heights, UT. The family wishes to thank Community Nursing Services Home Health and Hospice for all their love, help and support shown to Linda and her family.
