TAYLORSVILLE — Softball playoff games were cancelled Tuesday due to heavy rains over night that left the field un-playable.
The 2011 4A and 5A state softball tournament will resume today at Valley Softball Complex, with all games pushed back one day. All games except Friday's semifinal consolation and championship games will be played at the same times.
The quarterfinal games for both classifications will be held Thursday at 4:30 and 6:45 p.m., while semifinal games will be Thursday at 6:45 p.m. The championship game will be played at 12:15 p.m., Friday, with opening ceremonies 15 minutes prior to the game.
