Caron, who holds a 3.99 GPA while majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders, has earned a spot on the All-Mountain West Conference Team in the 100, 200 fly and 200 IM in each of the past three years.
Caron qualified for the 2011 NCAA Championships and competed in the 200 IM, 100 fly, and 200 fly events. The Raleigh, N.C., native swam the second-fastest 100 fly time of her career to place 30th (53.49). In the 200 fly, she took 29th with a personal-best time of 1:57.98, which was the second-fastest time in school history.
Caron is now eligible for Academic All-American honors, which will be released June 9.
Individuals are selected through voting by CoSIDA, a 2,000-member organization consisting of sports public relations professionals for colleges and universities in the United States and Canada.
