Beth Albrecht Tolbert 1924 ~ 2011

Our dear wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Mother's Day, May 8, 2011. Beth was born on April 6, 1924 in Fremont, Utah to Earl and Evalena Albrecht who taught her the lessons of hard work and love of family. As a young child Beth contracted both polio and rheumatic fever. In spite of these illnesses, she spent her childhood dancing and playing softball. Beth faced all of the challenges in her life with that same energy, zeal and stubbornness. She refused to let life get her down, right up to her last days on earth. Beth married Kemp Robinson in 1942. She and Kemp had four children. They later divorced. As a single mother, Beth faced life head on. She went back to school and earned her degree in nursing. She then married Francis Junior Young and together they had four children. Junior died in 1969. As a single mother of seven, Beth worked as a labor and delivery room nurse where she helped hundreds of babies come into the world. She was very proud that she was able to assist in the deliveries of more than a dozen of her own grandchildren. Beth married Garth Tolbert, the love of her life, in 1974. They were sealed in the Jordan River Temple in 1982. Garth had four children. Together Beth and Garth successfully blended two families. Beth has been an active member of the L.D.S. church where she served in numerous capacities. Beth is survived by her loving husband, Garth Tolbert and her children Dennie (Susan) Robinson, Lynnette (Dennis) Abernethy, Randy (Susan) Robinson, Annette Jonas, Margo (Elwin) Elison, Howard-dec'd (Debbie Camp) Tolbert, George (Jan) Young, Bruce Tolbert, Francene (Ken) Eixenberger, Shayne (Kriss) Young, and Karen (Bruce) Wathen.
