PROVO — In a preview of future West Coast Conference matchups, the BYU baseball team lost to Gonzaga 12-5 Monday at Larry H. Miller Field.
Down 11-0 going into the bottom of the eighth, the Cougars rallied to score five runs on six hits, including a solo home run by first baseman Austin Hall and a three-run double by designated hitter Chase Frampton.
Third baseman Bret Lopez went 2-for-3 from the plate with an RBI to lead the Cougars.
The second of two games between the Cougars (24-22) and the Bulldogs (26-13-1) is set for today at 6 p.m.

So much for dominating the WCC. Maybe the SWAC would have been a better conference for the kewgs.
This wasn't a conference game so it had less meaning to our team. Once conference play starts (next year), our boys will have their game faces on and the outcome will favor BYU.
