Joseph Morgan III, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away May 4, 2011 in Provo, Utah after a valiant six year battle with cancer. He was born 26 April 1945 in Price, Utah to George Clarkson Morgan and Cora Pace. He grew up in Price and graduated from Carbon High School. After serving an LDS mission to the Northern States Mission, he married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Robertson, 12 December 1968 in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. He was a graduate of Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in both Psychology and Sociology and then earned a master's degree in Counseling and Guidance. He worked as the high school guidance counselor at Dugway High School for 33 years. He served faithfully in many LDS church callings including bishop, bishopric counselor, high counselor and Stake missionary. His greatest joy and interest in life was his family, with whom he treasured each moment. He loved all people and was blessed with many dear friends. As a guidance counselor he felt it his great responsibility to help each and every student in their education and with their personal challenges as well. He cared deeply for his fellow teachers and the school staff. We will all miss him greatly. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, Oakley, UT; children: Michael Joseph Morgan (Shellie), Centennial, CO; Melanie Bowen (Cody), Oakley, UT; Daniel Clarkson Morgan (Annette), Santaquin, UT; Marcie Tirrell (Craig), Manor, TX; Mark Robertson Morgan, Oakley, UT; Matthew David Morgan (Kelanie), Columbia, MO; Jonathan Jacob Morgan (Vanessa), Blue Springs, MO; Melissa Clark (Brent), Columbia, MO; 19 grandchildren; sisters: Catherine Robinson (Gerald), Centerville, UT; Jeanne Wise, Las Vegas, NV. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 10 at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakley 1st Ward Chapel, 1224 West SR 32. Friends may call at the chapel, Monday, May 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. or prior to the services, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Interment: North Bench Cemetery, Oakley, UT, under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home, Kamas, UT.
