WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: There will be another new face on the Southern Utah women's basketball team this fall as the Thunderbirds announced the signing of Utah high school standout Marquelle Funk Monday.
Head Coach JR Payne was excited to receive her commitment and believes that Funk will fit well into the system she is working to put in place at SUU.
"Marquelle is a long athletic guard who can shoot from anywhere. She runs the court very well, which makes her the type of guard we want to have in the transition offense we run", explained Payne.
