The King's English Bookshop, 1511 S. 1500 East, will host an event Tim Sullivan, author of "No Communication with the Sea: Searching for an Urban Future in the Great Basin," March 31, 7 p.m. The bookshop will also host a poetry evening, April 1, 7 p.m.

Alta High School, 11055 S. 1000 East, will host an event with H.W. Brands, author of "American Dreams," April 2, 10 a.m.
