DeMar "Buck" Wilde, passed away in Oakley, Utah on March 20, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 7, 1926 in Oakley, to Curtis and Florence (Saxton) Wilde Buck married Betty Butters on Sept. 19, 1947 in Kamas, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was an auto mechanic. He and Betty owned and operated Buck's Cheveron in Wanship for many years. He served on the Oakley Town Council. He was a member of the Kamas Valley Lion's Club. He was known for his honesty and integrity. His family was his greatest joy. There were many family activities, including numerous trips to southern California that will always be remembered. Buck also enjoyed horses and working on the family ranch in the upper Weber Canyon. He is survived by his wife Betty, and sons, Brent (Peggy) Wilde; Brad (Brenda) Wilde; and Matthew Wilde; daughter, Diane (Darrell) Roberts. Also 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Sister: Colleen (Darrell) Burnett and a sister-in-law, Myrla Wilde He is preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and one brother. The family wishes to thank the staff at Elk Meadows assisted living and hospice for the special care that they gave Buck. Funeral service will be on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Oakley LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8:00 pm and on Thursday one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow in the Marion Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home, Kamas.
