Lois Money Tolley Albertson 1919 ~ 2011

Lois Money Tolley Albertson, 91, passed away quietly from natural causes on March 6, 2011 in Payson, Utah. She was born June 6, 1919 and was the fourth of seven children born to John Banks and Adelinda Rose Money. She grew up on a farm in Palmyra and attended schools in Palmyra and Spanish Fork. She was always proud to be from Palmyra and to be one of the "Money girls." Lois married Jack LaMar Tolley on April 8, 1940. They were later sealed in the Provo LDS Temple. Jack passed away in 1953. She married Ralph Albertson in 1973. He later passed away. Lois worked as a supervisor at the State Line Hotel in Wendover, Nevada for many years before moving to Utah where she worked as a switchboard operator at Mountain View Hospital. She retired in 1989. She is still fondly remembered by many of the nurses, doctors and staff at the hospital. Lois was an excellent cook and was known for keeping an immaculately clean house. She enjoyed the beautiful canyons, BYU sports, and family gatherings. She was a member of the LDS Church. For many years she served as the funeral flowers and wedding gift coordinator for her ward Relief Society. She is survived by her son Lynn (Myrna) Tolley, Salem; her brother Richard (Colleen) Money, Spring-ville; five grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Adelinda Money; her stepmother, Sara Jane Jarvis Money; brothers, Bernell and Albert; sisters Fern (Merril) Davis, Helen (George) Bird, Kathryn (Junior) Briggs and step-sister Clara (Roy) Holden. The family would like to express their thanks and heartfelt appreciation to Bonnie and Cami at A+ Health Care, the staff at Parkway Health Center, VistaCare Hospice and the many dear friends and extended family members who lovingly cared for her during her declining years. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 11 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mountain View Sixth Ward Chapel, 789 East Arrowhead Trail (700 North) in Payson, with a viewing prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Nephi City Cemetery.
