Edith White Folker 1923~2011

Edith (Jerry) White Folker, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, returned home to her Father in Heaven on Tuesday, February 22, 2011.Born in Park City, UT on June 16, 1923, she was the daughter of William and Drucilla White. She married Ralph Jay Folker on December 17, 1941 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple and was active in her church throughout her life. Edith and Ralph raised nine children and cared for 24 foster children during their marriage. Edith was preceded in death by her sweetheart Ralph, her son, Ralph Jay Folker Jr., and her infant daughter Jeri Marie. She is survived by her son, Gene Folker (Becky) and daughters, Linda Ann Pectol, Susan Sasser (Les), Mary Pilant (Dan), Jane Luger (Rod), Kelly Badgett (Randy), Claire Strong (Jim). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 42 great-grand- children, and one great-great granddaughter. She is also survived by her dear youngest brother, Tom White, and her sweet sister and best friend, Darlene Findley. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, at the Kearns 1st Ward, 4270 W. 5700 S. A viewing will be held Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church, and also one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 S. Redwood Rd.
