She married Myrth Curtis Miner in the Manti LDS Temple on September 22, 1948. Lorraine was employed for brief periods, but her primary role and passion was working as a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Her handmade quilts and clothing, and luscious pies, were legendary. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and accepted callings in the Primary and Young Women's organizations. She twice served as president of her ward Relief Society. She is survived by her husband, sons Curtis Miner, Salt Lake City; and Barry (Donna) Miner, Fairview; daughter Sharene (Steven) Hansen, Taylorsville; and five grandchildren. Survivors also include two great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, and siblings Maurine (Elroy) Brady, Kaysville; Allen (Norma) Vance and Winnie (Arthur) Neilson, Bountiful; and Jerry Vance, Kentucky. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Cherie Vance, West Valley City, and Ruth Vance, Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Jenny, and brothers Kenneth Vance and Bert Vance. Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary, 96 North 100 West, Mt. Pleasant, and again from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to services at the ward.
