James Christian "Chris" Fitzsimmons 1978 ~ 2011

James Christian "Chris" Fitzsimmons, 32, passed away of natural causes February 16, 2011 at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah. Chris was a gentle soul with a wit and sense of humor he loved to share with his many good friends. He pursued his many interests and talents following the beat of his own drummer. He would compose poetry until he was published; compose techno music until he got air-time or pursue acting until he landed roles. Chris was an open minded skeptic who loved conversation and debate with friends and was a regular commentator as "NotScott"; on Radio.FreshCheese.net, www.freshcheese.net. His was a life lived well and always in progress. He was the third child of David and Janet Fitzsimmons, born October 28, 1978 in Kansas City, Mo. He moved with the family to Salt Lake City in 1983, attended schools here, graduated from Valley High School; and attended Salt Lake Community College. He was a voracious reader and pursued self-education less for academics than as fuel for his conversation and active mind. He is survived by his Mother Janet Fitzsimmons; father David Fitzsimmons and wife Ashtora; his sister, Cassandra Pierce and husband Mark; brother Gavin Fitzsimmons and wife Nicole; and brother Michael Fitzsimmons and partner Tom Stone. He is also survived by his roommates Mike, Jen, and Steve and great friends Jimmy, and many many others. All friends of Chris and the family are invited to come and share in a celebration of his life at 6:00 p.m. Thursday February 24, 2011, at Wasatch Presbyterian Church, 1626 South 1700 East, Salt Lake City.
