LARAMIE, Wyo. — Jade Kennedy and Hillary Carlson each scored 13 points and Aubrey Vandiver added a double-double as Wyoming defeated Utah 59-50 Wednesday night.
Vandiver had 12 points and 10 rebounds to help the Cowgirls (19-6, 9-3 Mountain West) improve to 11-2 at home.
Iwalani Rodrigues had 21 points and was the only player to score in double figures for the Utes (12-14, 5-7).
Wyoming trailed by five in the first half before taking a 28-23 advantage into halftime.
Utah stayed within single digits the entire second half and trailed 53-48 with 3:06 to play, but the Utes didn't score again until 16 seconds remained.
The Cowgirls finished with 15 assists on 16 field goals and were 20 of 21 from the free-throw line.
