Boylen's sideline theatrics have been criticized even though they're based on enthusiasm, not abuse. He has worked hard at connecting to the fan base by fulfilling speaking engagements, rallying supporters at football games and accommodating the MUSS. Still, he never has fully connected with the community.
It's not just the games he has lost, it's the confidence in his team.
Few but Boylen — and possibly his team — believe in his system anymore.
He says his team is improving, but selling that to fans who are facing a hike in ticket prices next year is unlikely. Can Boylen survive? Go to a game. Look at the crowd. Check Hill's record with losing coaches.
It's all you need to know.

Our little furry ground hole dweller is completely delusional if he thinks that BYU fans are at all worried about the coaching mess up on the hill.
Utah fans would give their eye teeth to have a coach like Dave Rose coaching the Utes, and More..
It would be extremely bad PR for Utah, to raise ticket prices for an inferior product. Putting a new label(PAC 12) on the product, doesn't mean it's worth more money.
Nowadays, announced attendance (paid attendance), is much greater than More..
I say that Utah should give him more time. To be fair, he should get another ten years at least to work on the program. I like the direction he is taking the team and he deserves some time to see how far he can take them.
