As always BYU senior guard Jimmer Fredette is attracting a lot of attention and he has made such a cultural impact that not all the mentions are strictly about basketball.
The legend of Jimmer seems to be pretty widespread at this point including all the bits about his family and growing up and his religion.
But, the prolific bleacherreport.com has called the player of the year candidate "The greatest Mormon missionary in the world."
And in case you missed it, KSL recorded a video of some familiar faces associated with BYU singing a Bon Jovi tune covered with the lyrics changed to be all about Fredette.
And finally, the Fredette brothers' story about the sibling who inspired his younger brother is told once again, this time on YouTube (below).

I like Jimmer, and this issue is not his fault.
But this is over the top. A missionary is ordained to teach the gospel by the Spirit, in order to help individuals be converted by that Spirit.
Confusing that process with good More..
Jimmer is doing a great job at bringing PR to the Church. Well done and keep it up! At the same time, thanks to all of the young men and women as well as senior couples who are serving full time missions. Their sacrifice should in no way be More..
Why go there?
Let the kid play ball. Leave the missionary thing out of it.
A bit too much of "wearing your religion on your sleeve" if you ask me.
He speaks for himself, don't impose that on him, you are not More..
