Dolly Gaines Young 1923 ~ 2011

Dolly Gaines Young of Salt Lake City, Utah and formerly of Springville, Utah, age 87, passed away on February 6, 2011, of causes incident to age.Dolly was born on July 22, 1923, to Grover Cleveland and Lillian Maude Allen Gaines, in Spokane, Washington. Dolly grew up in Spokane and graduated from Lewis & Clark High School, where she was Head Drum Majorette. She had many happy memories of her childhood in Spokane, surrounded by a large extended family. Dolly worked for the United States Army during World War II, and met LeGrande Young of Provo, Utah. Dolly was bubbly, outgoing, had a wonderful sense of humor, and made friends wherever she went. She was a voracious reader, and there wasn't a word she couldn't spell, or for which she didn't know the definition. Dolly was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mildred Emerson; and her brother, Tilford C. Gaines. Dolly leaves behind her children: Michael (Stephanie) Young, Billings, Montana; Allen (Marty) Young, Park City, Utah; Patty (Kenny) Hulce, Springville, Utah; her seven grandchildren, Ashley Young Fuchs, Matthew Young, Staci Young Schoenfeld, Tyler Young, Erin Hulce McFarlane, Kenna Hulce Macky, and Alyx Hulce; also Dolly has four great-grandchildren.
