Dolores Jensen Thompsen 1935 ~ 2011

Dolores Jensen Thompsen, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away February 4, 2011 after a long illness surrounded by family.Dolores graduated from Granite High School and the University of Utah. She taught at Horace Mann Jr. High and West High School. She married Ferg on November 6, 1953, which was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. She served in many callings in the LDS Church. She enjoyed quilting, needlework, reading and loved to teach. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Survived by her husband Fergus Thompsen, children, Pam (Doug) Adams, Byron (Sharol) Thompsen, Candy (Alan) Cline, Beth (Ted) Bennett, 12 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters. Preceded in death by her parents, brother, grandson Jessie Cline, and two great grandsons. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses that aided in her care, and the many neighbors, friends and ward members for their kind thoughts and actions. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 7, 2011 at 11:00 am at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy (10600 S.) where a viewing will be held Sunday, February 6, 2011 from 5-7:00 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to services. Interment Redwood Memorial Estates.
