Then there are the Terrance Apteds, Desmond Hanohanos, Afa Garrigans, Eddie Scipios, Greg Lovelys and Drew Muglestons. Who? That's what we're saying. They all came out of the 2004 classes at Utah and BYU and hardly saw the light of day.
Utah State may have the best recruiting — or non-recruiting — story of all.
In 2001, a young man named Kevin Curtis would have loved to play for BYU or Utah. He had played for Bingham High, then gone to Snow College for a couple of years before an LDS mission.
With no scholarship offers, he headed up to Utah State where he where he walked on and quickly became a star for the Aggies. In just two years he ended up as the Aggies' all-time leading receiver with 184 catches, was named a third-team all-American and has played in the NFL ever since.
He was a zero-star recruit who has gone further than most five-star recruits.
You just never know.

Normally I ignore you, sometimes you make insightful comments, today you just showed your infatuation with BYU. I thought you were a U fan, yet you didn't even mention the U, and you completely missed the point of the article. More..
