Kenneth Rowland Lloyd 1925 ~ 2011Comment on this story
Kenneth was born to Freeman R. and Christina Lloyd on January 2, 1925 in Riverton, Utah. He passed away in his sleep in the early morning of January 26, 2011. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. His family always felt his unconditional love and support and learned from the example he set. He was always serving others and touched the lives of everyone he knew. He served as a Signalman in the United States Navy during World War II. By trade he was a successful General Contractor and was respected for his work ethic and integrity. He married Betty Gogel on July 22, 1946. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He was an active member in the LDS Church where he held many positions, among them were Elders Quorum President, High Priest Group Leader and Stake High Councilman. He was joyously reunited with his parents, two brothers, three sisters and one great-great-grandson in heaven. He is survived by his wife Betty; daughters, Sharry Oviatt, Sandy; Pat (Dwaine) Price, South Jordan; and son, Kenny (Tammy) Lloyd, South Jordan. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; and son in-law, Jim Oviatt. He was loved dearly by his family and we will miss him. We want to thank all those at Legacy House who took such good care of him. Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Midvale East 5th Ward, 240 East 7570 South, with a viewing Friday from 6-8:00 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So.
