BYU basketball: National hype reaches epic proportions for Cougars and Jimmer Fredette

The hype for Wednesday's San Diego State vs. BYU basketball is epic. All week stories on radio, television and via the printed word have been hitting readers from all sides. The onslaught continued on Tuesday and for national media outlets who haven't written a lot about Jimmer Fredette, there was no better time to highlight the senior guard.

wow I've never seen so much hype for a basketball game at the Y...though last year against NM was pretty pumped. Hope lady luck is with us tonight.
I have to laugh at the BYU haters talking about a potential meltdown when it was just a couple of months ago the largest sports catastrophe this state has witnessed with a 47-7 absolute torch job.
Can only hope this game lives up to all the hype. A perfect scenario would be for all starters to play well and to score in double figures with Jimmer going off for 40+ with a game winning shot in double overtime for the win.
