Dale S. Waters Richfield, Utah

Dale Squire Waters, 93, passed away January 20, 2011 in Richfield. He was born August 22, 1917 in Richfield to Mark and Nellie Jane Squire Waters, the second of four children. He married Betty Vee Anderson, February 14, 1944 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDSTemple February 14, 1946. Dale was an Army Veteran of World War II having served in France and Germany. He loved sports, especially BYU Football. He played basketball and softball. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He is a great husband, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He and his wife Betty, owned and operated Central Electric Supply Company in Richfield, still coming to work well into his 90's. The company has continued as a family business and is operated by his sons. Dale was an active member of the LDS Church serving faithfully in all his callings, including missionary, bishop and temple ordinance worker. His life has been one of Christ like love, charity and service to others. He is survived by his sweetheart, Betty; sons, Roger (Donna), Mark (Sheri) and Keith (Kathy) all of Richfield; daughters, Marilyn (Joseph) Staley of Riverton, Carolyn (Darrell) Neumann of West Jordan; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grand-children; sister, Rita Jensen of Las Vegas, NV and brother-in-law, George Anderson of Elsinore. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Von Elmo (Lila), Lynn (Elfonda) and LaVell (Gladys) and brother-in-law, Milo Jensen; grandchildren, DeEtte and Matthew Staley. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2011 in the Richfield 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 159 North 400 West. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 and at the ward chapel on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30.
